Bhubaneswar, Feb. 25 -- The Government of India blocked five over-the-top (OTT) platforms for allegedly streaming explicit and pornographic material in violation of existing digital content regulations. The move was initiated by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting after a detailed review of the content made available on these applications.

The five blocked OTTs are MoodXVIP, Koyal Playpro, Digi Movieplex, Feel, and Jugnu.

Officials indicated that the decision followed established legal procedures, including consultations with relevant authorities and an assessment of whether the platforms were complying with the Information Technology Rules and digital media guidelines.
