Bhubaneswar, April 22 -- In a significant boost to Odisha's transport and mining infrastructure, a new broad gauge railway line will be developed connecting Tikiri to the Sijimali bauxite mining region in Rayagada district.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Railways, the project has been granted the status of a 'Special Railway Project.' The initiative is expected to strengthen the state's transportation network and improve connectivity in mineral-rich regions.
