Centre approves Rs 544 crore for 3 bypass projects in Bhubaneswar; improved road connectivity on cards
Bhubaneswar, May 13 -- The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has approved three bypass road projects worth Rs 544 crore for the Bhubaneswar parliamentary constituency.
The projects are aimed at reducing traffic congestion and improving regional road connectivity. They are also expected to ease traffic flow on key routes linking Bhubaneswar with nearby semi-urban and rural areas.
Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi on Tuesday announced that the sanctioned projects include bypasses at Rajasunakhala, Begunia, and the Pubusahi-Sarua-Taratua stretch. The three projects together will cover a total distance of 18 kilometres and are expected to address long-pending traffic bottlenecks in the region.
