Bhubaneswar, March 22 -- In a significant step towards strengthening studentmental health support in schools, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced an Online Remote Invigilation Examination for School Counselling and Wellness Teachers. The initiative is part of CBSE's broader effort to enhance capacity building and ensure quality standards among socio-emotional counsellors across affiliated schools.

The assessment, which began in February 2026, will be conducted in phases and is expected to cover around 10,000 counsellors nationwide.
