Burglars loot 300 grams of gold, 8 kg silver from jewellery shop in Odisha's Ganjam
Bhubaneswar, July 4 -- Burglars allegedly decamped with around 300 grams of gold ornaments and over 8 kilograms of silver jewellery from Raja Jewellers in Bengasar village under Tarasingi police limits of Odisha's Ganjam district.
The theft took place on the night of Friday, but the incident came to light only after the shop owner returned and reopened the store on Saturday.
According to the shop owner, the jewellery shop had remained closed for the last two days as he was out of town due to personal reasons. When he returned and opened the shop, he found the ornaments missing.
