Bhubaneswar, April 13 -- A bomb threat email sent to the District Magistrate of Odisha's Malkangiri district triggered panic on Monday, leading to the immediate evacuation of the court premises as a precautionary measure.

According to sources, the threatening email warned of a bomb inside the court complex and was sent to the official email ID of the District Magistrate. Acting swiftly, the District Magistrate alerted the police, following which security agencies rushed to the spot and initiated evacuation protocols.

Soon after the alert, police personnel, along with a dog squad, reached the court premises to assess the situation. The area was secured, and thorough searches were carried out to rule out any potential threat.
