Bhubaneswar, May 31 -- A bomb attack on the residence of Paradip Municipality Chairperson Basant Biswal triggered an intensive police investigation. CCTV footage yielded important leads and several suspects were detained for questioning. The attack took place on Saturday evening.

The attack reportedly happened while members of Biswal's family were reportedly inside the house. The incident prompted heightened security measures, extensive raids and round-the-clock patrolling across Paradip as investigators work to establish the motive behind the incident.
