BMC's new anti-pollution move: Smart dust collectors installed across key stretches
Bhubaneswar, June 24 -- BMC recently launched an innovative pilot initiative aimed at reducing ambient air pollution by installing specialised dust collectors along major traffic corridors. Under the initial phase of the project, 20 dust-catching devices have been mounted on electric poles situated along the road median between KIIT Square and Patia Square.
The project has been implemented as a pilot venture under the Government of India's National Clean Air Mission. Each dust collector features an integrated sensor chamber designed to draw in and trap polluted air particles from the immediate environment.
