Bhubaneswar, June 27 -- Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has commenced the installation of smart solar-powered benches across major public corridors to promote green energy utilization and enhance civic amenities.

As part of an initial pilot phase, two units have been successfully deployed on Janpath Road, integrating solar generation, free electronic charging ports, and automated nocturnal illumination systems within a single public seating structure.
