Bhubaneswar, Aug. 11 -- Children may face tighter restrictions on social media and online gaming platforms if a proposed Private Members' Bill introduced by BJP National Vice-President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda becomes law.

The proposed legislation seeks to make age verification mandatory for minors accessing digital platforms. It also proposes blocking social media accounts of children who do not meet the prescribed requirements and allowing minors to use such platforms only with parental consent.
