Bhubaneswar, April 1 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) suffered a setback in Cuttack following the resignation of its District Women's Executive President, Purnima Singh. Her exit comes amid growing concerns over the party's internal functioning in the district.
Singh submitted her resignation to BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik, citing dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs within the party. She has also indicated that the current situation of the BJD in Cuttack is not very good or stable at present.
In her resignation letter, Singh stated that the party has moved away from its core ideology. She alleged that there is no value for dedication towards the party and that committed workers are being neglected.
