Bhubaneswar, May 11 -- A delegation of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) met the State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) on Monday, alleging serious irregularities during the recently concluded Rajya Sabha elections in Odisha.
The party raised objections over the voting process involving BJP MLA Upasana Mohapatra and MLA Purna Sethi.
According to the BJD, both legislators had allegedly marked their votes incorrectly on the first ballot paper during the election process. The party claimed that despite objections from its members, the Election Officer issued a second ballot paper to the two BJP legislators, following which they cast their votes again.
