Bhubaneswar, April 10 -- A major political gathering is set to take place in Odisha as followers of Biju Patnaik and supporters of his legacy prepare to mark his death anniversary on April 17 with a large convention in Bhubaneswar, sources said on Friday.

The event is being organised by leaders identifying themselves with the "Biju legacy," and is expected to draw significant attention across the State's political landscape.

In preparation for the event, several senior leaders visited the Conference Hall at Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) in the State Capital to review the venue arrangements.

Among those present were the senior leaders Bijoy Mohapatra, Prabhat Tripathy, Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, and Rabi Pani.
