Bhubaneswar, May 27 -- Good news has arrived for thousands of police job aspirants in Odisha as the state government has officially initiated the recruitment process for 7,664 vacant posts in the police department, including 933 Sub-Inspector (SI) posts. The State Home Department has directed the newly formed Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission (OUSSSC) to begin preparations for conducting the recruitment examinations.

According to official sources, the examination schedule and centres are expected to be announced soon. This time, unlike previous years, the recruitment process will not be handled by the Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB). Instead, OUSSSC will conduct the examinations for various police posts.
