Bhubaneswar, June 20 -- In a major step towards easing chronic traffic congestion in the Twin City region, the Odisha Government has constituted a special committee to identify bottlenecks and recommend immediate measures for improving traffic flow in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

The decision was taken following deliberations at the High-Level Committee meeting held on May 5, 2026, under the chairmanship of the Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary. An office order issued by the Works Department on June 17 formalized the committee's constitution.
