Big Digital Push in Odisha! Govt to introduce cashless system in registration offices for better transparency
Bhubaneswar, June 21 -- In a major push towards digital governance and improved service delivery, the Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Department has decided to introduce a cashless transaction system across all Sub-Registrar (SR) and District Sub-Registrar (DSR) offices in the State. The initiative aims to enhance transparency, efficiency and accountability in property registration services.
The decision was taken at a high-level review meeting chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. Officials said the move is part of broader efforts to modernise public service systems and reduce reliance on cash-based transactions.
