Bhubaneswar, Sept. 6 -- A 23-year-old youth went missing after allegedly jumping into the Kuakhia river from the Tankapani Road bridge in Bhubaneswar on Saturday night. Despite search efforts by Fire Services personnel, he remained untraced for more than 12 hours at the time of reporting.

The missing youth has been identified as Bhavani Shankar Khatei of Old Town in Bhubaneswar.

Following information about the incident, two Fire Services teams from Bhubaneswar and Balianta were deployed to search for Khatei. The teams continued the operation until late Saturday night but could not locate him.
