Bhubaneswar, June 1 -- A youth was critically injured after being attacked with a sword by a group of assailants in Tarini Basti under the jurisdiction of Bharatpur Police Station in Bhubaneswar on Sunday night. The incident has once again raised concerns over violent crimes and the use of deadly weapons in the state capital.

The injured has been identified as Dhushasan Nayak. According to preliminary information, a dispute allegedly linked to previous enmity broke out between Dhushasan and a group of youths in the locality. What initially began as a verbal altercation soon escalated into a violent confrontation.
