Bhubaneswar ISKCON opposes untimely Rath Yatra, urges its GBC to reconsider decision
Bhubaneswar, July 12 -- Amid the ongoing controversy over International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON)'s observance of Rath Yatra on dates different from the traditional schedule followed in Puri, Bhubaneswar ISKCON President Shashwata Das has expressed displeasure over the practice and urged the organisation's Governing Body Commission (GBC) to review its decision.
Speaking on the issue, Das said ISKCON should not organise Rath Yatra on dates that do not align with the traditional observance associated with Lord Jagannath.
