Bhubaneswar, May 1 -- The Odisha government on Friday reaffirmed its commitment to the ambitious Metro project connecting Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Puri, with a renewed vision aimed at fostering economic growth in the state.
On Friday, Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra stated that the Metro project will be reintroduced in a revamped form, addressing the evolving needs of the region.
He clarified that the government has not scrapped the metro project but has only placed it on hold for the time being.
"We have not abandoned the metro; it has been kept in abeyance," the Minister explained, emphasizing that all necessary procedures for the project are still in progress.
