Bhubaneswar, July 1 -- The Odisha Government on Wednesday approved a major infrastructure project to upgrade the Jaydev Vihar-Nandankanan road corridor in Bhubaneswar, aiming to ease traffic congestion and strengthen connectivity between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

The Works Department has sanctioned the improvement of a 9.5 km stretch from Kalinga Stadium Gate No. 4 to Raghunathpur Bridge, which will be developed into an advanced urban arterial corridor with flyovers at key junctions.The project has received administrative approval worth Rs 949.35 crore, according to an official communication issued on January 16, 2026.
