Bhubaneswar, Aug. 18 -- At least 40 passengers including driver, sustained serious injuries after a private bus travelling from Daringbadi to Bhubaneswar met with an accident on the Nayagarh bypass road in the early hours of Tuesday.

According to sources, the accident occurred at around 2 am when the bus named Omm Shree Chakadola reportedly lost control and veered off the bypass before plunging nearly 20 feet into a field below. The bus overturned after falling from the road, leaving passengers inside briefly trapped.
