Bhubaneswar, Sept. 9 -- The body of an auto-rickshaw driver was recovered on Wednesday from the Kuakhai River in Bhubaneswar after a search operation lasting around 36 hours. The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Swain.

According to reports, Swain reportedly jumped into the river from the Bankual Bridge on Monday night after leaving his auto-rickshaw on the bridge.

Upon receiving the information, Balianta fire team reached the spot and launched a search operation.

The search continued for nearly two days, with the rescue team looking for Swain in the river and nearby areas. After around 36 hours, his body was located in the Lingipur area and recovered from the Kuakhai River.
