Bhubaneswar, April 4 -- A 39-year-old doctor from Bhadrak donated her liver after her death on Friday, giving a new lease of life to another person and setting an example of organ donation.

Dr Radha Padhee, a homeopathy practitioner from Sahadevdas Patna under Chandbali block in Bhadrak district, had spent her life treating patients. Even after her death, she contributed to saving another life through organ donation.

She was suffering from a platelet disorder since childhood and had battled health complications throughout her life.

On March 28, she was admitted to AIIMSBhubaneswar in a critical condition. Despite medical efforts, she passed away on Friday.

Following her death, her family decided to donate her liver.
