India, July 27 -- A man has fallen victim to a cyber fraud while attempting to book a domestic LPG cylinder through an app in Joda locality of Keonjhar district. The fraudsters gained access to his phone during the booking process and later siphoned off nearly Rs 3 lakh from his bank account, police sources said on Monday. The victim has been identified as Rajesh Kumar Bose, a resident of the Joda area.

According to the available information, Rajesh was trying to book a domestic gas cylinder through an app when his phone became compromised. Shortly afterwards, cyber fraudsters allegedly managed to withdraw or transfer money amounting to nearly Rs 3 lakh.
