Bhubaneswar, Sept. 11 -- The construction of the Gate Bazaar overbridge in Berhampur has come under scrutiny after former BJD leader Pradeep Kumar Panigrahy raised concerns over the quality of the ongoing work and sought an immediate inspection of the project.

Panigrahy has written to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, flagging several concerns related to the construction of the overbridge. In his letter, he also referred to the collapse of the Bomikhal overbridge in Bhubaneswar and urged the state government to ensure that the Gate Bazaar project is thoroughly inspected to rule out any possible lapses.
