Bhubaneswar, June 12 -- MV Constable Ashutosh Mrudangia, who was battling for life after suffering severe burn injuries, died while undergoing treatment at AIIMS Bhubaneswar on Friday morning, his sister confirmed.

Mrudangia suffered nearly 80 per cent burn injuries and was admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for treatment. As his condition worsened, he was placed on ventilator support. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.

Following his death, Mrudangia's sister demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the incident.
