Bhubaneswar, April 23 -- Odisha Policearrested the main accused in the murder of a Berhampur-based land trader from Surat on Thursday. The accused, identified as Surya Pratap, was on the run since the incident and was reportedly hiding in the city. The arrest was carried out in coordination with the Surat Crime Branch. 

Surya Pratap, a native of Varanasi, is the prime accused in the murder of Sudhir Patra. The development sparked fresh questions over the capabilities of police and senior officials, even as the investigation progresses.
