Bhubaneswar, April 25 -- A new dimension emerged in the murder case of Berhampur-based businessman Sudhir Patra. His daughter rejected claims that the killing was linked to property disputes and alleged that jealousy was the primary motive.

Speaking exclusively to OTV, Sudhir's daughter said the claim that the murder was committed over property is "completely false". She maintained that her father had ensured that his brother's property was transferred in the names of his niece Nibedita and nephew Tushar after their father's death.

She further said it was difficult to believe that Tushar and Nibedita's involved in such an act, given the close relationship they shared with her father.
