Bhubaneswar, April 15 -- The Banakalagi ritual of the sibling deities will be performed at the PuriSrimandir on Wednesday on the occasion of Baishakh Krishna Trayodashi, leading to temporary suspension of general darshan for devotees.
As per the temple schedule, darshan will remain closed for four hours, from 6 pm to 10 pm, to facilitate the conduct of the ritual.
The Banakalagi ritual, also known as Shreemukha Shringara, will be carried out after the completion of the second Bhoga Mandap offering. During this process, the deities will undergo ceremonial bathing (Mahasnana) followed by facial adornment.
