Bhubaneswar, May 11 -- A large candlelight procession was organised on Sunday evening, demanding justice for GRP Constable Soumya Ranjan in connection with the Baliantamob lynching case.
The candlelight march began from Soumya Ranjan's native village, Maujpur, and proceeded along the Phulnakhara-Niali road towards the Adaspur Panchayat Office. Later, it moved to his gym centre, where the programme concluded.
Thousands of people from different age groups joined the rally to pay tribute and express solidarity with the bereaved family. The participants also prayed for the eternal peace of Soumya Ranjan's soul.
