Bhubaneswar, Sept. 5 -- A youth was allegedly beaten to death with a wooden stick following an argument in the Angargadia area under the Industrial Police Station limits in Balasore on Friday night.

According to reports, the deceased and the accused are both local youths and work at a factory. The two reportedly got into an argument over some issue, after which the situation allegedly turned violent.

The dispute reportedly began over a trivial matter. During the argument, one of the youths allegedly attacked the other with a wooden stick, leaving him critically injured.

The youth later died following the alleged attack. The exact circumstances leading to his death were being investigated by the police at the time of reporting.
