Bhubaneswar, Aug. 6 -- Heavy rainfall on Wednesday evening once again submerged large parts of Balasore town. The incessant rains left roads covered in nearly knee-deep water. The fresh downpour hit the town just three days after residents battled a flood-like situation, leaving areas like Congress Gali (lane) severely affected by waterlogging once more.

The recurring inundation disrupted normal life across several localities. Residents reported difficulties in preparing food and accessing meals, while household properties and assets suffered damage as water entered residential premises.
