Balasore farmers raise questions over 'substandard' fertiliser, demand probe
Bhubaneswar, Sept. 1 -- Farmers in Balasore district of Odisha have reportedly raised concerns over the quality of fertiliser sold through a cooperative society, alleging that the product failed to bring the expected improvement in their crops.
The complaint has reportedly come from Bartana Panchayat under Khaira block. According to the farmers, they purchased fertiliser from the Bartana Service Cooperative Society and used it in their fields. However, even after applying the fertiliser, they reportedly noticed little or no improvement in the crops.
