Bhubaneswar, April 5 -- The last rites of a youth in Odisha's Balasore district have remained pending for two days following his death, as family members have raised allegations against his in-laws. The incident has been reported from Purushottampur village under Anantapur police station.

The deceased has been identified as Dushasan Malik. His family has refused to conduct the funeral, demanding action over the alleged circumstances surrounding his death.

According to reports, Dushasan had an argument with his wife, after which she informed her brother. It is alleged that the brother resorted to violence against him, following which Dushasan consumed poison.
