Attack on Census workers in Odisha: Police arrest man, his two sons in Kamakhyanagar
Bhubaneswar, April 23 -- At least three persons, including a man and his two sons, were arrested on Thursday for allegedly assaulting census workers at Kamakhyanagar in Odisha's Dhenkanal district. They were later produced before a court, informed police.
The accused have been identified as Nikunja Raman Satpathy and his sons- Bhanuprakash Satpathy and Udit Sapna Satpathy. The action follows an incident that sparked tension in the locality after on-duty government officials were attacked.
The incident took place at Ward No. 3 of Kamakhyanagar NAC in Dhenkanal, where four census workers were allegedly assaulted in Mahimanagar while carrying out enumeration work.
