Bhubaneswar, May 14 -- Aska SDPO Santosh Kumar Jena was suspended after the Home Department initiated disciplinary proceedings against him over multiple allegations. The allegations included a complaint related to non-payment for gold ornaments purchased from a jewellery shop in the Aska area.

According to sources, during the suspension period, Jena will remain posted at the office of the Southern Range IG. The suspension order also directed him not to leave the headquarters without prior permission from the IG.

Allegations had surfaced that the SDPO purchased gold ornaments from a jewellery shop in Aska but failed to make the payment.
