Bhubaneswar, Oct. 9 -- A low-pressure area is likely to form over the south-east Bay of Bengal by October 13 under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over the Gulf of Thailand and adjoining areas.

As per reports, the cyclonic circulation currently extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level and is expected to move into the Andaman Sea by October 11. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to develop over the south-east Bay of Bengal by October 13.

Meanwhile, a yellow warning has been issued for eight districts of north Odisha as hevy rains are expected in the state due to the influence of the low-pressure.
