Bhubaneswar, March 18 -- A major fire scare was narrowly averted at SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMCH) in Cuttack on Wednesday after a short circuit triggered a blaze in the non-trauma casualty unit. This is the second consecutive inferno in SCBMCH in a week.
According to initial reports, the incident originated from an electrical board, which caught fire following a suspected short circuit.
Smoke billowing from the board alerted hospital authorities, who immediately informed the fire services. Firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control before it could escalate into a serious disaster.
