Bhubaneswar, July 13 -- A major road accident was reported in Odisha's Bhadrak district after an ambulance carrying a patient overturned near the Chatabar Toll Plaza under Bhandaripokhari police limits, leaving three people critically injured, sources said on Monday.

According to preliminary information, the ambulance was transporting a patient from Phuladi in Balasore district to Cuttack for advanced medical treatment. While passing near the Chatabara Toll Plaza, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to ram into the road divider. The impact of the collision was so severe that the ambulance overturned on the road.
