Bhubaneswar, May 17 -- Public transport services under the 'Ama Bus' scheme remained completely suspended across Rourkela on Sunday after employees launched a strike over various demands, causing inconvenience to commuters across the city.

Not a single Ama Bus operated on any route during the day, despite nearly 100 buses usually plying daily across different parts of the city.

The disruption comes at a time when parts of the Rourkela region are also reportedly facing fuel-related issues, further adding to the difficulties of residents dependent on public transport for essential travel and work.
