Bhubaneswar, April 19 -- Akshaya Tritiya will be observed on Monday, marking one of the most auspicious days in the Hindu calendar. On the occasion, the world-famous Chandan Yatra of Lord Jagannath will commence, while preparations are underway across regions to observe associated rituals and traditions.
On the day of Akshaya Tritiya, farmers will perform the ritual of Akhi Muthi Anukula, symbolising the beginning of the agricultural cycle. The day is also considered auspicious for the commencement of the construction of the Lord's chariots.
