Bhubaneswar, July 8 -- Following the recent rollout of the Odisha State Data Policy (OSDP) 2026, the state government approved Rs 266.48 crore to establish State Data Centre 2.0 (SDC 2.0). Additional Chief Secretary of the Odisha Electronics and IT Department, Vishal Kumar Dev, stated that data is a strategic asset for economic growth and efficient governance.

The new policy manages the entire data lifecycle, focusing on privacy protection, data ownership, and role-based access control.
