Adani group to invest Rs 1.01 lakh crore in Odisha, to generate over 53,000 jobs
Bhubaneswar, July 2 -- Odisha government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth Rs 1,01,000 crore with the Adani Group to establish an integrated aluminium value chain in the state on Thursday.
The agreement, executed at the Lok Seva Bhavan in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, is projected to generate approximately 53,500 new employment opportunities across its construction and operational phases.
The industrial mega-project represents one of the largest single-sector investments in the region, focusing on comprehensive downstream processing and captive power generation. The strategic framework aims to leverage Odisha's substantial mineral reserves to establish a self-sustaining manufacturing corridor.
