Bhubaneswar, Oct. 16 -- ABVP candidates and their supporters staged a protest outside Kendrapara Autonomous College in Odisha late last night, alleging irregularities in vote counting during the student union elections.

Tulasi Mallik, the defeated president candidate of ABVP, and her supporters sat on a dharna, demanding a recount of the votes. They alleged discrepancies in the counting process and questioned the declaration of the election results.

Mallik alleged that their candidate had been leading until the final round of counting but the result later went against them. She also claimed that their counting agent was not allowed inside the counting venue and that blank ballot papers had been seen in the booth.
