Bhubaneswar, May 2 -- A 73-year-old man from Podagada village under Khatiguda block in Odisha's Nabarangpur district is struggling to survive, years after allegedly being denied justice despite a tribunal ruling in his favour.
Kamaraju Maharana, who dedicated 22 years of service to the irrigation department of the Upper Indravati Hydroelectric Project, now lives in distress with no stable source of income. He began working with the department in 1982 and continued until 2003, when his services were terminated. According to reports, while several junior employees were retained, Maharana was declared surplus and removed from his post.
