Bhubaneswar, Oct. 12 -- Rairangpur Police arrested nine accused persons in three separate cases involving robbery, dacoity and other criminal activities in Odisha's Mayurbhanj on Saturday night. The arrests followed raids in different areas carried out on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Suresh Chandra Patra.

According to reports, police seized several items from the possession of the accused. The items included swords, iron rods, country-made firearms, live ammunition, gold chains, vehicles and mobile phones.

On the night of October 10, seven miscreants allegedly gathered at an isolated location near the Ravan Dahan ground in Gambharia under Bahalda police station limits to plan a dacoity.
