Bhubaneswar, May 31 -- A 7-foot-long king cobra was safely rescued from the premises of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya at Banamalipur under Thakurgarh in Angul district on Sunday. The reptile reportedly entered the school campus unnoticed and was discovered early in the morning.

The incident came to light when a school peon heard a loud hissing sound inside the school building. Suspecting the presence of a snake, he began searching the classrooms and eventually located the king cobra in one of the rooms, prompting immediate safety measures to protect students and staff.
