Bhubaneswar, April 15 -- As extreme heatwave conditions continue to bake Odisha, several cities in Odisha have been experiencing record-breaking temperatures. With the mercury crossing 40degC in several parts of the state, residents are feeling the brunt of an unusually hot season, as temperatures continue to rise.

Six cities in Odisha recorded temperatures above 40degC on Wednesday, with Titilagarh reaching a sweltering 42degC, marking the highest in the state. Boudh and Nuapada both hit 40degC, while Sambalpur, Hirakud, and Bolangir recorded 41degC. The heatwave also affected Bhawanipatna, which reached 41.8degC, and Jharsuguda, at 41.6degC.
