Bhubaneswar, June 3 -- Odisha secured national recognition in rural development and local governance, with five Panchayats from the state being selected for prestigious awards under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar (DDUPSVP) and the Nanaji Deshmukh Sarvottam Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar (NDPSPVP) 2025.

According to an official communication issued by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India, the awards have been conferred on Panchayats that demonstrated excellence in various themes related to sustainable rural development.
